About Pente
A connect 5 board game. The players alternate in placing stones of their color. The players aim to align five stones of the same color (vertical, horizontal or diagonal). Captures are obtained by flanking pairs of an opponent's stones in any same direction (captures must consist of pairs; flanking a single stone does not result in a capture). A player wins by scoring five stones in a row, or capturing five pairs of opponent stones.
How to Play
Put your stone on any empty intersection of the board to start the game. Take turns turns with your opponent, each placing one stone per turn. Strive to line up five of your stones in a row horizontally to win. Remove your opponent's stones by flanking two of their stones with yours on either side. Keep in mind that only pairs of stones can be captured; single stones cannot be captured. Triumph by either achieving a line of five stones or capturing five pairs of your opponent's stones. Adapt your strategy based on your opponent's moves to block their progress and promote your own.
