About Xiangqi
Chinese Chess board game against a computer opponent. To win you need to capture the general of your opponent.
How to Play
Shift your pieces according to their unique movement rules. The King can only step one square at a time within the nine-pointed star. Mandarins must stay within diagonal moves within the palace. Elephants move exactly two squares diagonally and cannot jump over pieces. Knights move one square straight and then one square diagonally, if not impeded by adjacent pieces. Rooks move any number of squares straight, serving as powerful attackers. Cannons move like chariots but must capture by hopping over exactly one piece. Soldiers move forward one square and gain new movement after crossing the river. Remove the opponent's general to win the game. Strategize your moves carefully to defeat the computer opponent.
